Hello everyone, welcome to General Measure's Channel.
In today's session, we will explain how to set up load cell channels and perform theoretical calibration of the GMT-X4 combination mode.
The GMT-X4 is a weighing transmitter with 4-channel developed for silo weighing. There are two versions: 4 individual channels or 4 in 1 integrated with the intelligent junction box function. The instrument supports multiple communication protocols, including Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, and CC-Link IE. It allows users to view detailed weight data and other parameters across channels, which is convenient for troubleshooting on-site.
1. Load Cell Channel Setup
GMT-X4 in the four-channel combination mode, you can enable or disable individual load cell channels based on application requirements.
From the main interface, press Enter to access the menu and select Load cell channel. In this menu, you can open or close any of the four channels. Select a channel and press Enter to input the password 000000. Press Enter to switch ON(√) or OFF(X) of the selected channel.
For the demonstration, we will enable all four channels. Press Esc to return to the main page. Press the Right key to quick view the status of each channel. (If there is a closed channel, it will be displayed on screen.)
2. Theoretical Calibration
Next, let's perform theoretical calibration for GMT-X4 combination mode.
First, enable theoretical calibration switch. From the main interface, press Enter to open the menu. Press the Down key to select Weight Parameters. Then select 2.5 Theoretical Calibration Switch. Press Enter, input password 000000, select ON, then press Enter again to confirm. The theoretical calibration is now enabled.
2.1 Parameter Settings
Load cell sensitivity setting
Press Esc to return to the Calibration menu. Select Theoretical Calibration and press Enter.
Choose 4.1 Auto Zero Acquisition. Then, press the Right key to enter theoretical calibration. Select Load Cell Sensitivity to view the sensitivity of all four channels. Selec the channel you want to configure according to the load cell label, then use the Up/Down keys to modify values and Left/Right keys to move between digits. Press Enter to confirm.
Load Cell Capacity Setting
Press Esc to return to the Theoretical Calibration page. Select Capacity and press Enter. In this page, input the capacity for each channel. Select the channel, press Enter to adjust the value according to the load cell label. Here, we will set it to 50 kg. Press Enter to confirm.
2.2 Zero Calibration
Press Esc to return to the Calibration menu. Select Theoretical Calibration and choose Zero Calibration, select 4.1 Auto Zero Acquisition. Ensure the scale is empty, then wait until the reading is stable. Long press Enter to execute zero calibration. If successful, it will return to the main screen. (If the weight is unstable, a calibration failure message will appear.)
Theoretical Calibration Verification
Place a 5 kg weight on the scale. If the display shows 5 kg, calibration is successful.
If the result is incorrect, review the previous steps for troubleshooting.
That concludes today's video.

In the next session, we will demonstrate how to adjust load cell angle difference by GMT-X4.
